Kusushi / 薬師

Maybe you know meaning of "kusudama" well.

"kusudama" consists of two words, like this " ".
And the word of "kusudama" will be separable as "kusu - dama"

     kusu = medicine,
     dama(tama) = ball

So, this is a quiz to my kusudama friends.

Do you know the meaning of the "Kusushi" ?


The word of "kusushi" will be separable as "kusu - shi",
like this " "

"Kusu" means medicine, it same as "kusu" of kusudama.
Then "Shi" means master or teacher.



 GUESS !!
What does "kusu-shi " mean?

It is an archaic word.
Probably you can't search it in the normal dictionary.

This kanji "薬師" has two ways to read.

One is "kusushi".
The other is "Yakushi".

Yakushi means a abbreviated designation of the Healing Buddha (Yakushi - Nyorai) who is the one of the faith objects of the Buddhism.
